Chisholm makes the top three again at Bercy while Paulin is fourth

Kyle Chisholm again scored third position on the second night of action at the Supercross Paris-Bercy and now stands on the edge of the 'King' of Bercy title in his first visit to the prestigious event in the French capital.

The Motoconcepts Yamaha rider repeated his top three finish from Friday's opening salvo on the YZ450F and remains the most consistent racer in the contest and the only one to scale the podium on two occasions. The American once more started from a lowly gate slot and efficiently picked off competitors to arrive to third. Following behind was Yamaha Monster Energy's Gautier Paulin who was bustled into fourth on the works YZ450FM by an excited capacity-crowd at the Palais Omnisports from a mid-pack start.

The venue provided an electric atmosphere unique to Bercy as the French hold the annual SX extravaganza – now in its 28th edition – close to their hearts. Yamaha Motor France made their presence felt by turning a section of the stand blue. Paulin was cheered on to the top four across a soft and rough track although he felt the effects of his spill yesterday with a stiff neck.

Grant Langston was unable to participate on what was supposed to be his last race as a professional after he briefly dislocated his hip in Friday's Main Event. The decorated South African tried to ride during practice on Saturday but was in too much discomfort.

The third and final stage of the Supercross Paris-Bercy takes place on Sunday afternoon and a victory for Chisholm will stretch Yamaha's

Kyle Chisholm - 3rd position

"I had some bad luck in the elimination race and didn't have a good gate pick for the Main, so my start wasn't great but I came up through the pack and reached third. Again I needed a couple more laps –or maybe just to go a bit faster! - to get close enough to make a pass for second. I know I can go for the win if I can get out front at the start; that's the plan for tomorrow."
Gautier Paulin
4th position
"I was a little stiff from yesterday and the track was a bit dangerous because it is soft and worn. In the tunnel I think we had gone through the mud to the wood panels and it was really slippery. I had bad luck with the inflatable being in the wrong place last night but I had some fun this time. The ground was really soft for the 450 so we needed to go a bit harder with the suspension but I was not quite ready to do that for the race; tomorrow we will make the change in practice and hopefully it will be a bit better."
